Efficency in the Soil"
Efficient
Water Use
The use of surfactants/wetting agents in combination
with well designed and operated irrigation systems and proper cultivation
has the potential to increase the efficiency of irrigation and conserve
water to levels beyond what has already been achieved with equipement
alone. Water does not always go where intended due to changes in soil
conditions, and surfactants correct some of those changes.
Aquatrols,
Paulsboro, NJ, is pleased to announce the addition of Eximo™ and
BurstTurf™ to its Turf and Ornamental product line effective
immediately. Eximo™ and BurstTurf™, powered by exclusive
SyntechTM technology, are manufactured by Environmental Manufacturing
Solutions. Syntech is the world’s only patented synthetic acid
which is environmentally conscious because it is non-corrosive, non-fuming,
safe to plants and grass, and 100% biodegradable.
Syntech
powered Eximo and BurstTurf are unique soil treatments that help
repair soils by reducing bicarbonate levels and solubilizing normally
insoluble mineral deposits in soils. Vic Swann, VP of Sales, says, “Eximo
and BurstTurf fit perfectly into the current Aquatrols family of
products because they improve the rootzone environment through increased
water and input efficiencies for better growing conditions.”

of Smithsonian Soils Exhibit
Without soil, life on land would not exist as we know it. The soils
under our feet are a vast reservoir for life and play a part in
almost every aspect of human existence – food, housing, clothing,
medicine, ecosystems and much more. This vital living system is
the focus of the planned 5,000 square-foot Exhibition scheduled
to open at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History
in 2008. For More information visit https://www.soils.org/smithsonian/
